Monsanto Park:

If you’re in Lisbon and want to get away from the city, The noise and have a walk in the nature. I would recommend following my posts as I will be posting often about the natural parks or areas surrounding Lisbon. So in short this post is for those who love to hike in the forest and don’t want to use the transportation to get to the nearest nature escape.

Map Location:

Starting point for the hiking is at this point on the below map and it extends up to almost 10 kms of trekking route. Below is the hiking map. The road is mostly flat so it’s a very enjoyable and beautiful road but at some point can be muddy so you should expect to get dirty.

How do I get there?

Depending on where you’re coming from, there could be many different transportation ways that could bring you to this particular starting spot. I use an application called “City Mapper” and it works great and shows the best way to to get to the starting spot.

Difficulty:

Based on my experince I would say that the park is pretty easy and mostly flat to hike. It doesn’t take an effort and it’s very enjoyable. So I’d say Difficulty level is easy.
