Our second trip to Exploring Duzce (North west of Turkey) comes in August in the middle of another heat wave where we first planned to go to the Mountain but then escaped to the sea.
The black sea in the north of Turkey is usually aggressive and scary to swim but this region and area we went we went to is incredibly beautiful and sea is pretty swimmable.
Next after the sea we drove south of Duzce to a waterfall called “Samandere waterfall” where you have to pay entrance fee for 6 lira, Honestly comparing this waterfall to the other long and big waterfalls, canyons in Duzce is barely worth it. the waterfall has short distance to hike but has a nice place to swim (See pictures).
Right after the watefall we decided to head to the mountain to camp and see the beautiful stars. We drove about 30 mins south (Heading up) to one of the Plateaus that was pretty wild and had a difficult road to go to. we made it there and found water source, beautiful camping spot and lots of amazing tall trees.
Our first destination would be heading to the canyon and then head to the mountain.
So our camping spot will be in a mountain height of around 1500/1700 meters above sea level which will provide an incredible view with almost 0 light noise.
